Surroundings

Rotterdam is a dynamic city and certainly worth a visit. There are many annually festivities here such as: the Jazz Festival, the Marathon, World Port Days, Nights of the Proms, Caribbean Carnival etc., etc.. Most of my guests come to visit the city, but also come here for events in the Ahoy or Luxor theatre. The city centre can easily be reached by tram within 15 minutes. The tram stops in front of my house.

Bed & Breakfast Doornroos is situated in a green suburb of Rotterdam, Hillegersberg. I experience living here as pleasantly. It is a unique place where you can enjoy a beautiful walk along the lakes or go on a bicycle trip along the river Rotte. My B&B lies near golf club "De Rottebergen" (18 holes) at 10 minutes distance.

The 'Bergse Dorpsstraat', a shopping street around the corner, is a very convenient place to shop. There are especially luxuriously clothing - and shoe shops. The old rural core lies behind this shopping street. There are various places to enjoy a nice meal. With nice weather the terraces with view on the water attract many people.
